How to Get Smooth Shoulders
Exfoliate weekly, moisturize daily, and use body oil while skin is damp for shoulders that feel like silk.
Smooth shoulders are about consistency, not expensive products - the woman using drugstore lotion religiously will always beat the one with luxury creams gathering dust.
- Exfoliate weekly. Use a body scrub or dry brush on shoulders twice a week in circular motions. Focus on any rough patches or bumps. This removes dead skin that makes shoulders look dull and feel textured.
- Moisturize immediately after showering. Apply body lotion or cream to damp shoulders within three minutes of stepping out of the shower. The moisture helps lock in hydration when skin is most receptive.
- Layer with body oil. Pat a few drops of body oil over moisturized shoulders for extra smoothness. Oil creates a protective barrier and gives skin that subtle glow that makes shoulders look polished.
- Wear SPF on exposed shoulders. Apply sunscreen to shoulders when wearing tank tops, strapless tops, or swimwear. Sun damage creates texture and discoloration that undermines all your smoothing efforts.
