How to Get Smooth Legs
Exfoliate, shave with the grain using a sharp razor and shaving cream, then moisturize while skin is still damp.
The smoothest legs come from sharp blades and timing, not expensive products or complicated routines.
- Exfoliate first. Use a body scrub or dry brush on dry skin before getting in the shower. This removes dead skin cells that can clog your razor and cause bumps.
- Soften the hair. Let warm water run over your legs for 2-3 minutes. The heat softens hair follicles, making them easier to cut cleanly.
- Apply shaving cream. Use a thick layer of shaving cream or gel, not soap. The lubrication prevents razor burn and lets you see where you've already shaved.
- Shave with the grain. Start at your ankle and work up, moving the razor in the direction hair grows. Use light pressure and rinse the blade after every few strokes.
- Moisturize immediately. Apply body lotion while your skin is still damp from the shower. This locks in moisture and prevents the tightness that leads to ingrown hairs.
