How to Care for Your Body Skin
Body skin needs consistent cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration to stay smooth and healthy.
Most people overthink body care when the basics work perfectly—just be consistent about doing them.
- Choose the right cleanser. Use a gentle body wash that cleans without stripping natural oils. Soap can be too harsh for daily use, especially if you have sensitive skin.
- Exfoliate weekly. Remove dead skin cells with a body scrub or dry brush once or twice a week. Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels where skin tends to build up.
- Moisturize while damp. Apply body lotion or oil to slightly wet skin immediately after showering. This traps moisture and prevents the tight, dry feeling that comes from hot water.
- Pay attention to problem areas. Elbows, knees, and heels need extra attention with thicker creams or targeted treatments. These areas naturally produce less oil and get more friction.
- Protect from sun damage. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to exposed areas daily. Reapply every two hours when outside for extended periods.
