Monthly Hand Reset: Deep Care That Actually Works

Transform your hands monthly with a systematic approach: exfoliate, treat, moisturize deep, and protect.

Your hands tell everyone how well you take care of yourself, so treat this ritual like the monthly audit it is—systematic, thorough, and unapologetic.

  1. Strip and assess. Remove all polish and jewelry. Wash hands thoroughly with a gentle cleanser to see what you're working with. This is your baseline—note dry patches, rough spots, or nail issues you want to address.
  2. Deep exfoliation. Use a sugar scrub or make one with olive oil and brown sugar. Focus on knuckles, fingertips, and any callused areas. Scrub for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water.
  3. Cuticle work. Soak fingertips in warm water for 3 minutes. Gently push back cuticles with an orange stick or cuticle pusher—never cut. Apply cuticle oil and massage into the nail bed.
  4. Treatment mask. Apply a thick hand cream or overnight treatment like a glove. For extra intensity, use actual cotton gloves over the cream and leave for 20-30 minutes while you do something else.
  5. Shape and protect. File nails to your preferred shape using one direction only. Apply a strengthening base coat or clear polish. Finish with SPF hand cream—your hands need sun protection too.
