Combination skin presents a specific challenge when applying topical actives. The goal is to provide enough antioxidant support to the duller, drier areas of the face while preventing the oily zones from becoming congested. Vitamin C, when formulated as a stable serum, functions as a secondary layer of protection beneath your daily sunscreen.
The following routine prioritizes placement and quantity to ensure your complexion remains balanced throughout the day. Consistency remains the most effective tool in your regimen.
- Prepare a clean base. Begin with a mild, gel-based cleanser to remove overnight buildup. Pat the skin dry with a clean towel, leaving the surface slightly damp but not wet. This ensures the serum applies evenly without interference from residual oil.
- Dispense the correct amount. Measure three drops of your serum into your palm. Avoid direct contact between the dropper and your skin to maintain product stability. Warm the serum slightly by pressing your palms together before application.
