Quick 5-Minute Daily Eye Makeup Tutorial

A five-minute everyday eye look requires just concealer, neutral eyeshadow, mascara, and defined brows.

The best everyday eye is the one that makes people notice your eyes, not your eyeshadow.

  1. Prime the canvas. Pat concealer over your entire eyelid from lash line to brow bone. This creates an even base and makes colors appear truer. Blend with your ring finger or a small brush.
  2. Add dimension. Sweep a neutral shade one tone deeper than your skin across the entire lid. Focus on the outer third of the eye and blend upward into the crease. This creates subtle depth without looking overdone.
  3. Define the eyes. Apply two coats of brown or black mascara to upper and lower lashes. Wiggle the wand at the base of lashes and pull upward to separate and lengthen.
  4. Frame with brows. Fill any sparse spots in your brows with quick strokes using a brow pencil or powder. Focus on the tail and arch where hair naturally grows thinner.
