Moisturising Normal Skin for Balance

Normal skin types often face the temptation to over-compensate with heavy creams. The goal is to sustain the skin's natural moisture barrier without inviting excess oil or surface dullness.

True balance is achieved through layering light-weight formulas rather than applying a single, thick product.

  1. Prepare the surface. Use a gentle, water-soluble cleanser to remove impurities accumulated during the day. Ensure the water temperature is lukewarm, as extremes can strip the surface of essential lipids. Pat the skin dry with a clean, soft cloth rather than rubbing.
  2. Apply a water-based layer. While the skin is still slightly damp, apply a lightweight hyaluronic acid serum or glycerin-based essence. This provides the primary hydration boost that normal skin requires to remain plump. Distribute the product evenly across your forehead, cheeks, and chin.
  3. Lock in the moisture. Select a lightweight, non-comedogenic lotion or gel-cream. Apply a pea-sized amount to the fingertips, rub them together, and press into the skin. Pressing instead of dragging prevents unnecessary friction and ensures better product distribution.
  4. Finish with SPF during the day. Every morning, finalize your routine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. A fluid or mist format works well for normal skin types to avoid a heavy or greasy finish. Ensure you cover all exposed areas, including the neck and ears.
Consistency is the architecture of skin health, not the quantity of product applied.
