Cómo hacer rizos perfectos en tu cabello

Wrap damp hair sections around a curling iron or hot rollers, hold for 8-12 seconds, then let curls cool completely before touching them.

  1. Prep your hair. Start with clean, slightly damp hair and apply a heat protectant from mid-length to ends. Your hair should be about 80% dry - too wet and it won't hold the curl, too dry and you risk damage.
  2. Section and heat. Divide hair into 1-2 inch sections, working from bottom to top. Wrap each section around your curling iron barrel away from your face, holding for 8-12 seconds depending on your hair thickness. Fine hair needs less time, coarse hair needs more.
  3. Cool and set. Release each curl into your palm and let it cool completely in that coiled shape for 30 seconds before letting it fall. This cooling step is what makes curls last - skip it and they'll drop within an hour.
  4. Break up and finish. Once all curls are cool, gently rake through them with your fingers to soften the look. Finish with a light-hold hairspray if you want extra staying power.
