Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse
Mix one part apple cider vinegar with three parts water, apply to clean hair, and rinse out after two minutes.
This is clarifying without being harsh, but skip it if you have color-treated hair in the first two weeks after dyeing.
- Mix the solution. Combine one part raw apple cider vinegar with three parts cool water in a plastic bottle. Start with two tablespoons vinegar to six tablespoons water for shoulder-length hair. The ratio stays the same regardless of batch size.
- Apply to clean hair. Shampoo and rinse your hair first. Pour the vinegar mixture slowly over your scalp and work it through to the ends with your fingers. The smell is strong but temporary.
- Wait and rinse. Leave the mixture on for one to two minutes maximum. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until the vinegar smell disappears completely.
