How to Make a DIY Fenugreek Seed Hair Mask

Soak fenugreek seeds overnight, blend with water into a paste, apply to damp hair for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

  1. Soak the seeds. Measure 2-3 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water overnight. The seeds will soften and release their mucilage, which gives the mask its conditioning properties.
  2. Create the paste. Drain the seeds and blend them with just enough fresh water to form a smooth, spreadable paste. The consistency should be thick enough to stay on your hair but not so thick it's difficult to apply.
  3. Apply to damp hair. Work the paste through clean, damp hair from roots to ends, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends where hair tends to be drier. Avoid the scalp if you have sensitive skin.
  4. Wait and rinse. Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with your regular shampoo if needed to remove any residue.
