How to Make a DIY Fenugreek Seed Hair Mask
Soak fenugreek seeds overnight, blend with water into a paste, apply to damp hair for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Soak the seeds. Measure 2-3 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water overnight. The seeds will soften and release their mucilage, which gives the mask its conditioning properties.
- Create the paste. Drain the seeds and blend them with just enough fresh water to form a smooth, spreadable paste. The consistency should be thick enough to stay on your hair but not so thick it's difficult to apply.
- Apply to damp hair. Work the paste through clean, damp hair from roots to ends, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends where hair tends to be drier. Avoid the scalp if you have sensitive skin.
- Wait and rinse. Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with your regular shampoo if needed to remove any residue.
