How to Do an Egg Hair Mask

Beat one whole egg, apply to damp hair from mid-length to ends, leave for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

Your grandmother was right about eggs, but skip the mayo additions floating around social media.

  1. Prep the mask. Crack one whole egg into a bowl and beat until smooth. For dry hair, add a tablespoon of olive oil. For oily hair, use just the egg white.
  2. Apply to damp hair. Work the mixture through towel-dried hair from mid-length to ends, avoiding the scalp. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute evenly.
  3. Time and rinse. Cover with a shower cap and wait 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water first, then shampoo once to remove any residue.
