How to Use Argan Oil for Hair
Apply a few drops to damp hair from mid-length to ends, avoiding the scalp unless treating dryness.
Argan oil isn't magic, it's just very good at being oil—use it where you need moisture, not everywhere you want shine.
- Start with damp hair. Towel-dry your hair until it's slightly damp but not dripping. Wet hair absorbs oil better than bone-dry strands, and you'll use less product.
- Warm the oil. Put 2-4 drops in your palm and rub your hands together. This activates the oil and makes it spread more evenly through your hair.
- Apply from mid-length down. Run your hands through your hair starting at the middle and working toward the ends. Skip the roots unless your scalp is genuinely dry—oil at the crown looks greasy fast.
- Style as usual. Blow-dry, air-dry, or style normally. The oil won't weigh down your hair if you've used the right amount, which is less than you think.
