How to Create Perfect 60s Flip Ends

Use a large round brush and blow dryer to curl hair ends outward, then set with hairspray for that signature Jackie Kennedy flip.

  1. Prep damp hair. Start with towel-dried hair and apply a volumizing mousse from mid-length to ends. Your hair should be about 80% dry for best control.
  2. Section and position. Part your hair as desired and work in 2-inch horizontal sections. Hold your large round brush underneath each section at the ends.
  3. Flip technique. Wrap hair around the brush rolling outward and away from your face. Blast with hot air while slowly pulling the brush down and out to create the flip.
  4. Cool and set. Hit each section with cool air to lock the shape, then mist with strong-hold hairspray. Don't touch until completely cool.
