How to Do a Braided Low Bun
Braid a section of hair, wrap it with the rest into a low bun, and secure with bobby pins for a textured, polished look.
- Prep your hair. Start with day-old hair or add texture spray to clean hair. Brush through to remove tangles, then gather hair at the nape of your neck with a clear elastic.
- Create the braid. Take a two-inch section from one side of the ponytail and braid it loosely to the ends. Secure with a small clear elastic and gently pull apart the braid to add volume.
- Form the bun. Twist the remaining ponytail hair around the base to create a loose bun. Wrap the braid around the outside of the bun, tucking the end underneath.
- Secure everything. Pin the bun in place with bobby pins that match your hair color, inserting them at angles for better grip. Mist with hairspray for hold.
