How to Refresh a Blowout on Day Three

Use dry shampoo at roots, add texture spray mid-lengths to ends, then blow dry with a round brush for 30 seconds per section.

  1. Reset the roots. Spray dry shampoo directly at your roots where oil builds up—crown, temples, nape. Wait two minutes for it to absorb, then massage with fingertips to distribute and lift.
  2. Add grip to lengths. Mist texture spray from mid-lengths to ends on slightly damp hair if needed. This gives your brush something to grip and helps recreate that fresh-from-the-salon bounce.
  3. Quick tension blow dry. Take 2-inch sections and run your round brush through with medium heat for 30 seconds each. Focus on creating tension—pull the brush away from your scalp as you follow with the dryer.
  4. Set the shape. Blast each section with cool air for 10 seconds while the brush is still wrapped around your hair. This locks in the curve and adds longevity to your refresh.
