How to Style Curtain Bangs

Round brush them away from your center part while blow-drying, then finish with a flat iron for that effortless sweep.

The whole point is looking like you rolled out of bed in the south of France, not like you spent an hour with hot tools.

  1. Start with damp hair. Towel-dry your hair until it's about 80% dry. Curtain bangs style best on slightly damp hair, not soaking wet.
  2. Create the center part. Use a rat-tail comb to draw a clean line down the center. Your bangs should naturally fall to either side of this part.
  3. Round brush and blow-dry. Take a small round brush and wrap each side of your bangs around it, pulling away from your face. Blow-dry while rolling the brush under and out.
  4. Flat iron the curve. Once dry, use a flat iron to create a subtle C-curve by gently bending the ends away from your face. Don't clamp too hard.
  5. Finish with texture. Run your fingers through to break up any stiffness. A tiny amount of texturizing cream keeps them from looking too perfect.
