How to Tame Frizzy Crown Curls
Layer lightweight leave-in products when hair is soaking wet, then scrunch out excess water with a microfiber towel.
- Wet application. Apply leave-in conditioner to dripping wet hair, focusing on the crown section. Water dilutes products and helps even distribution. Work through with wide-tooth comb.
- Layer curl cream. Add a small amount of curl cream to the same damp sections using praying hands method. This seals the cuticle and defines curl pattern without weighing hair down.
- Gentle water removal. Press hair gently with microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt to remove excess water. Never rub or twist. The goal is damp, not dripping.
- Air dry or diffuse. Let hair air dry completely or use a diffuser on low heat, low speed. Touch hair as little as possible during drying to prevent frizz activation.
