Lip Makeup for Mature Lips
Prep with balm, use a liner to define and prevent bleeding, apply color with a brush for precision, and choose formulas that hydrate rather than dry out lips.
- Prep and prime. Apply a thin layer of lip balm and let it absorb for two minutes. Mature lips lose moisture faster and need this foundation to prevent makeup from settling into fine lines.
- Line and define. Use a lip liner in your natural lip color or slightly darker to trace the edge of your lips. This prevents color from bleeding into vertical lip lines and gives you cleaner definition.
- Fill strategically. Apply color with a small brush rather than directly from the tube. Work from the center outward in thin layers, building opacity gradually for more control.
- Blot and set. Press lips together, then blot with tissue and apply a second thin layer. This creates staying power without the heaviness that can emphasize texture.
