How to Shape Your Eyebrows Naturally
Natural brows start with mapping your shape, trimming length, and filling gaps with hair-like strokes.
- Map your natural shape. Hold a straight brush vertically against your nostril to find where brows should start. Angle it past your pupil for the arch, then past the outer corner of your eye for the end. Your natural shape is already there—just enhance it.
- Trim the length. Brush hairs upward and trim only what extends beyond your natural brow line with small scissors. Cut conservatively—you can always trim more, but growing back takes weeks.
- Pluck strategically. Remove only obvious strays below and between brows, never from the top. Pluck after a warm shower when pores are open, pulling in the direction of hair growth.
- Fill sparse areas. Use short, hair-like strokes with a pencil one shade lighter than your brow hair. Focus on gaps, not covering existing hair. The goal is density, not coverage.
- Set the shape. Brush through with a spoolie, then set with clear or tinted brow gel. Brush upward and outward to maintain that natural, feathery texture.
