How to Do a Bronze Eye for Brown Eyes
Bronze shadows work beautifully on brown eyes because they enhance the natural warmth while creating definition through contrast.
- Prime the lids. Apply eyeshadow primer from lash line to brow bone. This prevents creasing and makes bronze shades appear more vibrant and true to pan.
- Set with neutral powder. Dust a matte shade close to your skin tone across the lid. This creates a smooth base and makes blending easier later.
- Build bronze on the lid. Pat bronze eyeshadow across the mobile lid with a flat shader brush. Start with light layers and build up intensity gradually for even color payoff.
- Deepen the outer corner. Use a deeper bronze or copper shade in the outer V and blend into the crease. This creates dimension and makes brown eyes appear more defined.
- Add warmth to the crease. Blend a medium bronze shade through the crease with a fluffy brush. Keep the color concentrated in the outer two-thirds to lift the eye shape.
- Highlight strategically. Apply a champagne or golden highlight to the inner corner and brow bone. The warm undertones will complement the bronze without competing.
- Line and finish. Use bronze or copper eyeliner instead of black to maintain the warm color story. Finish with brown or black mascara depending on the intensity you want.
