Orange Eye and Lip Combo

Orange works when you balance warm tones with the right undertones and keep one feature slightly more muted than the other.

  1. Prep your canvas. Prime lids and exfoliate lips. Orange shows every texture flaw, so smooth bases are non-negotiable. Use a lip balm that absorbs completely.
  2. Choose your hero. Pick either eyes or lips as your main event. If going bold on eyes, choose a burnt orange or terracotta. For statement lips, go true orange or coral-orange.
  3. Build eye color gradually. Start with a peachy transition shade in the crease. Layer orange from the lash line up, blending edges. Keep it softer if your lips will be the star.
  4. Perfect your lip application. Line lips with a shade that matches your natural lip color. Apply orange from the center outward. Blot and reapply for longevity.
  5. Connect with neutral ground. Use warm bronze on cheeks and a golden highlight to tie the look together. This prevents the orange from looking disconnected from your face.
