How to Create a Rose Gold Eyeshadow Look

Layer warm-toned shadows from light champagne to deeper copper, keeping the shimmer concentrated on the lid center.

  1. Prime and set the base. Pat eyeshadow primer across the entire lid up to the brow bone. This prevents creasing and makes rose gold tones pop instead of looking muddy. Set with a light dusting of translucent powder.
  2. Map your placement. Apply the lightest champagne shade across the entire lid as your base. This creates dimension and helps blend the deeper shades seamlessly. Use a flat shader brush for even coverage.
  3. Build the rose gold. Press the main rose gold shade onto the center of your lid using patting motions, not sweeping. This concentrates the color and shimmer where light naturally hits. Blend the edges softly into the base shade.
  4. Add depth and definition. Apply a deeper copper or bronze shade to the outer corner and crease using a smaller blending brush. Keep it minimal and blend upward toward the brow bone to lift the eye shape.
  5. Highlight and finish. Dot the lightest champagne shade on the inner corner and center of the lid for extra dimension. Add a thin line of brown liner close to the lashes and finish with mascara to ground the look.
