How to Create a Teal Eyeshadow Look
Build teal eyeshadow in layers—neutral base, teal on the lid, darker teal in the outer corner, then blend upward and outward.
- Prime and set the base. Apply eyeshadow primer to clean lids. Set with a skin-tone powder eyeshadow using a fluffy brush. This prevents teal from looking muddy and helps it pop.
- Map your placement. Apply teal eyeshadow to the mobile lid using a flat shader brush. Keep it contained to the area between your lash line and crease. Build color gradually with light, pressing motions.
- Deepen the outer corner. Use a darker teal or add a touch of navy to the outer V and along the lower lash line. Blend with a smaller, denser brush to create dimension without harsh lines.
- Blend and highlight. Soften edges with a clean blending brush, moving in windshield wiper motions. Add a light, shimmery shade to the inner corner and just under the brow bone to lift the look.
- Complete with lashes. Curl lashes and apply mascara in black or dark brown. The contrast makes teal appear more vibrant and defines your eyes against the bold color.
