Dance-Proof Makeup That Actually Stays Put
Layer waterproof formulas over primer, set everything with powder and spray, then touch up strategically.
- Prime like you mean it. Use an eyeshadow primer on lids and a face primer everywhere else. These create a grippy base that holds makeup even when you sweat. Let each primer set for two minutes before moving on.
- Build in thin layers. Apply foundation, concealer, and powder in light layers rather than one thick application. Thin layers bond better and flex with your skin when you move. Set each layer before adding the next.
- Lock down the eyes. Pat powder over eyeshadow primer before applying color. Use waterproof mascara and eyeliner only. Finish with a light dusting of translucent powder under the eye to catch any fallout.
- Set everything twice. Dust translucent powder over your entire face, then mist with setting spray. Wait thirty seconds and repeat the setting spray. This double-lock technique creates a moisture-resistant seal.
