Heat-Proof Makeup That Actually Lasts
Layer primer, set everything twice, and choose formulas that work with sweat instead of fighting it.
- Prime like your life depends on it. Use a mattifying primer on your T-zone and a hydrating one everywhere else. The mattifying primer creates a barrier against oil, while hydrating primer prevents makeup from clinging to dry patches when you sweat.
- Build base in thin layers. Apply foundation in sheer layers with a damp beauty sponge, building coverage gradually. Thick application will slide off in heat, but thin layers bond better to primed skin and move with natural oils instead of separating from them.
- Set immediately and strategically. Press translucent powder into areas that get oily first using a small fluffy brush. Focus on the T-zone, under eyes, and anywhere foundation tends to disappear on you personally.
- Choose cream products wisely. Use cream blush and bronzer before powder, blending quickly while they're still workable. Cream products set into skin better than powder in humidity, but you need to work fast before they grab.
- Lock everything down. Finish with setting spray held at arm's length, misting in an X pattern across your face. Let it dry completely before touching anything or going outside.
