How to Neutralize Redness with Makeup

Green color corrector cancels red, then build coverage with concealer and foundation in thin layers.

  1. Apply green color corrector. Dot green corrector only on red areas—broken capillaries, blemishes, rosacea zones. Blend edges gently with fingertips or a damp beauty sponge. Less is more; you're neutralizing, not masking.
  2. Layer concealer strategically. Use concealer one shade lighter than your skin on corrected areas. Pat—don't rub—to avoid lifting the green underneath. Build coverage gradually rather than applying one thick layer.
  3. Apply foundation with a light hand. Use a damp beauty sponge to press foundation over your base, focusing on evening out the overall tone. Stipple rather than drag to preserve the coverage underneath.
  4. Set with translucent powder. Dust translucent powder over corrected areas to lock everything in place. Use a fluffy brush and tap off excess—heavy powder will emphasize texture.
