How to Create a Sharp Graphic Eyeliner Look

Map your design with dots, build it in sections, and use tape as your guide for clean edges.

Graphic liner is architecture for your face—if the structure is wrong, no amount of blending will save it.

1. Prime and prep. Set your eyeshadow with translucent powder to create a smooth base. This prevents the liner from skipping and makes corrections easier if you slip.
2. Map your design. Use small dots to outline your graphic shape before committing to full lines. Start with the outer points and work inward, checking symmetry as you go.
3. Build the framework. Draw the main structural lines first with light pressure. Think skeleton before flesh—get the bones right, then thicken and perfect.
4. Fill and refine. Fill in your outlined shape, then use a flat brush with concealer to sharpen edges. Small corrections make the difference between amateur and editorial.
