How to Shape Your Eyebrows Perfectly at Home
Shape eyebrows by mapping three key points—start, arch, and end—then removing only hairs that fall outside this natural framework.
Most people need to pluck less, not more—your natural shape is almost always better than whatever trend you think you should follow.
- Map your natural shape. Hold a straight brush vertically against your nostril to find where brows should start, then angle it across your pupil for the arch peak, and finally to your outer eye corner for the end point. Mark these spots with white eyeliner.
- Trim long hairs first. Brush hairs upward with a spoolie and trim any that extend beyond your natural brow line with small scissors. This prevents over-plucking and maintains fullness.
- Pluck strategically. Remove only obvious strays outside your mapped shape, plucking in the direction of hair growth. Focus on the space between brows and under the arch—never pluck from above the brow line.
- Refine and check balance. Step back frequently to assess symmetry, remembering that brows are sisters, not twins. Brush hairs into place and make final tweaks only where absolutely necessary.
