How to Create a Soft Glam Makeup Look
Soft glam is defined by flawless base makeup, neutral shadows with subtle definition, and polished features that look effortless.
Soft glam is makeup that makes people wonder if you were born with naturally perfect features — the ultimate compliment is when no one can tell you're wearing much at all.
- Perfect the base. Start with a hydrating primer, then apply medium-coverage foundation with a damp beauty sponge for seamless blending. Spot-conceal only where needed and set with translucent powder in the T-zone.
- Create subtle dimension. Use a cream bronzer one shade deeper than your skin tone, applying it to the hollows of cheeks, temples, and jawline. Blend upward for a natural shadow effect.
- Define the eyes softly. Apply a neutral matte shade close to your skin tone across the lid, then use a slightly deeper warm brown in the outer corner and crease. Blend thoroughly so there are no harsh lines.
- Add controlled shimmer. Press a champagne or soft gold shimmer shade onto the center of the lid and inner corners with your finger. The goal is a gentle glow, not disco ball sparkle.
- Frame with lashes. Curl lashes and apply two coats of brown or black mascara, wiggling the wand at the roots. Skip bottom lashes or use just one light coat for balance.
- Finish with subtle color. Add a peachy-pink blush to the apples of cheeks, blending toward temples. Choose a lip color one shade deeper than your natural lips or a clear gloss.
