How to Set Makeup with Setting Spray

Hold the bottle 6-8 inches from your face and mist in an X and T pattern after completing your makeup.

Setting spray is insurance, not magic—if your base makeup is wrong for your skin, no spray will save it.

  1. Choose your moment. Apply setting spray as the final step after all makeup is complete. Your face should be dry with no tacky products still setting.
  2. Perfect the distance. Hold the bottle 6-8 inches from your face. Too close creates wet patches that disturb your makeup, too far wastes product.
  3. Spray strategically. Mist in an X pattern across your face, then add a T across your forehead and down your nose. These areas need the most longevity.
  4. Let it work. Keep your face still for 15-20 seconds while it dries. The formula needs time to create its protective film over your makeup.
