How to Use a Beauty Blender Correctly
Dampen the sponge, squeeze out excess water, then bounce it against skin to blend makeup seamlessly.
Most people use too much pressure and wonder why their makeup looks heavy—the sponge should barely touch your skin.
- Wet the sponge. Run your beauty blender under cool water until it doubles in size. The damp texture prevents the sponge from absorbing your expensive foundation.
- Squeeze out excess water. Press the sponge in a clean towel to remove dripping water. You want it damp, not soaking, so it glides instead of dragging.
- Apply product correctly. Dot foundation on your face first, then use the rounded end to bounce and blend. Never rub or drag the sponge across your skin.
- Use the pointed end strategically. The narrow tip reaches under eyes and around nostrils where the round end is too bulky. Perfect for concealer and detail work.
- Clean immediately after use. Rinse with soap and warm water while the makeup is still wet. Dried foundation turns your sponge into expensive trash.
