How to Create Korean Gradient Lips
Press lip tint into the center of your lips and blend outward with a finger for that effortless bitten look.
The gradient lip is proof that the best beauty tricks are about placement, not product—master the technique and any tint will work.
- Prep your base. Start with bare lips or apply a thin layer of lip balm and blot excess. The gradient technique works best on a smooth, slightly matte surface that won't interfere with blending.
- Apply tint to the center. Dab lip tint or liquid lipstick only to the inner center of both upper and lower lips. Think small—you want about a third of your lip area covered initially.
- Blend outward. Use your ring finger to gently pat and press the color from the center toward the outer edges. Work quickly while the product is still workable and buildable.
- Soften the edges. Continue patting until you achieve a soft gradient that fades naturally into your natural lip color. The edges should be completely diffused with no harsh lines.
