Date Night Makeup That Actually Works
Build a polished base, add one standout feature, and make everything last longer than dinner.
The best date night makeup makes him wonder if you're naturally this perfect or if you're just really good at this game.
- Create the foundation. Use primer on your T-zone and under-eyes only. Apply foundation with a damp beauty sponge, building coverage where you need it instead of painting your entire face. Set with powder just where you get oily.
- Define without overdoing. Conceal under-eyes in an upside-down triangle and blend up. Fill in brows where they're sparse, not where they're full. Add cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend toward your temples.
- Choose your moment. Pick either eyes or lips as your focal point, never both. For eyes, use three shades maximum and blend until there are no harsh lines. For lips, line slightly outside your natural lip line and fill in completely.
- Lock it down. Curl lashes, apply mascara to top lashes only, then use a clean spoolie to separate. Spray setting spray on your hands and gently press into your face rather than misting directly.
