Office Appropriate Makeup

Keep it polished but restrained — think elevated skin, neutral eyes, and a lip that works through coffee meetings.

The goal is to look like the best version of yourself, not like you spent an hour getting ready — competence, not Instagram.

  1. Perfect the base. Use a medium-coverage foundation or tinted moisturizer that matches your skin exactly. Spot-conceal only where needed — under eyes, around nose, any blemishes. Set with translucent powder just in your T-zone.
  2. Define without drama. Fill brows with a pencil one shade lighter than your hair, focusing on sparse areas. Use a neutral brown eyeshadow close to your skin tone across the lid. Skip liner or use brown pencil tight to the upper lash line only.
  3. Add controlled color. Apply a muted rose or peach blush to the apples of your cheeks, blending upward. Choose a lip color that enhances your natural tone — berry, nude pink, or classic red depending on your complexion.
  4. Finish strategically. One coat of brown or black mascara on upper lashes only. Set brows with clear gel. Blot lip color and reapply for longevity through meetings and lunch.
