Brunch Makeup That Looks Like You Slept Well

Brunch makeup should look effortless — fresh skin, defined brows, and one standout feature that doesn't compete with your mimosa glow.

  1. Perfect the base. Skip foundation for tinted moisturizer or skin tint with SPF. Your goal is skin that looks like skin, just better. Spot-conceal only where you need it — under eyes and any real blemishes.
  2. Define without drama. Brush brows into place with a spoolie and fill sparse spots with powder, not pencil. Keep the shape natural. Add cream blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend upward — cream looks like it's coming from within.
  3. Choose your moment. Pick either eyes or lips, never both. For eyes: sweep neutral shadow across lids, add mascara to upper lashes only, skip liner. For lips: apply a tinted balm or sheer lipstick that won't transfer to your coffee cup.
  4. Set selectively. Dust translucent powder only where you get oily — usually T-zone. Everywhere else should stay dewy. Finish with a light mist of setting spray if your brunch involves outdoor seating.
