How to Create a Valentine Pink Makeup Look

Layer pink tones from eyes to lips using the same color family to create a cohesive, romantic look without looking overdone.

  1. Prime and prep. Apply eyeshadow primer to prevent creasing and lip balm to smooth your base. Pink shows every texture flaw, so preparation matters more than usual.
  2. Build the eye base. Sweep a light pink or champagne shade across the entire lid as your base. This creates luminosity and makes deeper pinks appear more vibrant on top.
  3. Add depth with rose. Use a medium rose or dusty pink in the outer corner and crease, blending upward and outward. Keep it soft—the goal is dimension, not drama.
  4. Line and define. Apply brown or soft black liner close to the lash line, then smudge slightly. Skip harsh black—it competes with the pink rather than complementing it.
  5. Warm the cheeks. Choose a pink blush in the same undertone family as your eyeshadow. Apply to the apples of cheeks and blend toward temples for cohesion.
  6. Finish with coordinated lips. Use a pink lip color that echoes your blush tone but in a different finish. Matte blush with glossy lips or satin blush with matte lips creates visual interest.
