How to Create a Glossy Lid That Won't Crease

Prime, set with powder, apply gloss in thin layers, and keep blinking minimal until it sets.

  1. Prime and powder. Apply eyeshadow primer to clean lids, then dust translucent powder over the primer. This creates grip for the gloss and prevents it from sliding into creases.
  2. Apply base layer. Pat a thin layer of clear gloss or glossy eyeshadow onto the center of your lid using your ring finger. Work quickly and avoid dragging the product.
  3. Build gradually. Add more gloss in thin layers, focusing on the mobile lid and avoiding the crease area entirely. Less is more here.
  4. Set the look. Keep your eyes open and avoid excessive blinking for the first few minutes while the gloss sets. Look down into a mirror instead of closing your eyes.
