How to Do Reverse Wing Liner

Apply eyeliner below the eye instead of above, following your lower lash line and flicking downward.

  1. Map your line. Start at the outer corner of your lower lash line. The reverse wing should follow the natural curve of your lower lid, not fight it.
  2. Draw the wing first. Create a small downward flick from the outer corner, angling it toward your temple. This sets the direction for everything else.
  3. Connect and fill. Draw along your lower lash line from the inner corner to meet your wing. Keep the line thin and precise—thickness overwhelms this look.
  4. Balance if needed. Add a thin line of mascara to upper lashes or a subtle upper liner to ground the look. The reverse wing should be the star, not competing with heavy top makeup.
