How to Use a Kabuki Brush
Press the kabuki brush into powder, tap off excess, then buff in circular motions for even coverage.
A good kabuki brush should feel like velvet, not a scrub brush โ if it's scratchy, it's not worth your face.
- Load the brush properly. Press the flat top of your kabuki brush directly into powder foundation or setting powder. The dense bristles should pick up product evenly across the surface. Don't swirl or dig โ just press and lift.
- Remove excess product. Tap the handle of the brush against your hand or the edge of your compact. This prevents over-application and ensures smooth blending. You want product in the brush, not falling off in chunks.
- Apply with circular buffing motions. Start at the center of your face and work outward using small, circular motions. The dense bristles will buff the product into your skin for seamless coverage. Build coverage gradually rather than dumping it all at once.
