How to Do Cherry Nails
Cherry nails are red oval-shaped tips with small green leaves, created using red and green polish with a thin brush for detail work.
- Prep your base. Start with clean, shaped nails and apply a clear base coat. Let it dry completely before moving forward. This creates the smooth canvas you need for clean cherry shapes.
- Create the cherry shape. Using a red polish, paint small oval shapes on your nail tips - think tiny cherries, not full ovals. Work one nail at a time and keep the shapes consistent in size. Two cherries per nail works best for balance.
- Add the stems and leaves. Once the red is completely dry, use a thin brush with green polish to draw small stems connecting to tiny leaf shapes. Keep the leaves simple - just small teardrop shapes attached to thin lines.
- Seal and finish. Apply a clear top coat over everything to lock in the design and add shine. This step prevents chipping and makes the cherries look glossy and fresh.
