How to Paint Flower Nails

Use a dotting tool or bobby pin to create petals around a central dot, working with wet polish for seamless blending.

  1. Prep your base. Apply base coat and your chosen background color. Let it dry completely before starting the flowers. Light colors like nude or white make flower details pop more than dark bases.
  2. Create the center. Use a dotting tool or the round end of a bobby pin to place a small dot of contrasting polish where you want each flower center. This becomes your anchor point for the petals.
  3. Add the petals. While the center dot is still slightly wet, use the same tool to drag small dots around it in a circular pattern. The wet polish will naturally blend and create realistic petal shapes without harsh lines.
  4. Layer for dimension. Add smaller dots of a lighter shade on top of some petals for depth. Use a toothpick to drag tiny lines from the center outward for more detailed petals if desired.
  5. Seal and finish. Once completely dry, apply top coat to lock in the design. The glossy finish makes the flowers look more three-dimensional and professional.
