How to Create Heart Nail Art

Use a dotting tool or toothpick to create two dots side by side, then drag downward to form a heart shape.

1. Prep your base. Apply base coat and let dry completely. Paint nails with your chosen background color and allow to cure fully. A solid base prevents smudging when you add the heart design.
2. Create the heart dots. Dip a dotting tool or toothpick tip into your heart color polish. Place two dots side by side at the top of where you want your heart. The dots should be touching but not overlapping.
3. Form the heart shape. While the dots are still wet, drag the tool straight down from the center point where the dots meet to create the heart's point. Work quickly before the polish starts to set.
4. Perfect and seal. Clean up any uneven edges with a small brush dipped in acetone. Let hearts dry completely before applying top coat to seal the design.
