How to Make a Honey Face Mask
Mix raw honey with a complementary ingredient like oatmeal or yogurt, apply to clean skin for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Honey masks are the beauty equivalent of a white t-shirt—simple, effective, and impossible to mess up.
- Choose your honey. Use raw, unprocessed honey for maximum benefits. Manuka honey works well but regular raw honey from a health food store is perfectly fine. Avoid processed honey from squeeze bottles.
- Pick your add-in. Mix 2 tablespoons honey with 1 tablespoon finely ground oatmeal for gentle exfoliation, or plain Greek yogurt for extra hydration. You can use honey alone if your skin is sensitive.
- Apply and wait. Spread the mixture evenly on clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 15-20 minutes until it feels slightly tight but not uncomfortable.
- Remove gently. Rinse with lukewarm water, using gentle circular motions if you added oatmeal. Pat skin dry and follow with your usual moisturizer.
