How to Stop Phone Breakouts on Your Cheek
Clean your phone screen twice daily and hold it away from your face during calls.
- Clean your screen religiously. Wipe your phone with alcohol-based wipes or isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth twice daily. Morning and evening, like brushing your teeth. Your screen collects bacteria, oil, and debris that transfers directly to your cheek during calls.
- Switch to speakerphone or earbuds. Keep the phone away from your face entirely during calls. Use speakerphone, wired earbuds, or wireless headphones. Physical contact between your screen and skin is the main culprit.
- Cleanse immediately after long calls. If you must hold the phone to your face, wash that area with a gentle cleanser right after. Do not wait until your evening routine. The longer bacteria sits on your skin, the deeper it penetrates.
