DIY Foot Soak for Tired Feet
Mix warm water with Epsom salt and a few drops of essential oil for a simple soak that actually works.
- Set your base. Fill a basin with warm water—hot enough that you want to stay in it, not so hot you're counting seconds until escape. Add two tablespoons of Epsom salt per quart of water and stir until dissolved.
- Choose your addition. Drop in 3-5 drops of peppermint or eucalyptus oil for cooling relief, or lavender if you're winding down. Skip the oil if your skin is sensitive—the salt does the heavy lifting anyway.
- Soak strategically. Stay in for 15-20 minutes maximum. Longer than that and you're just pruning your skin for no benefit.
- Finish properly. Pat feet dry and apply a thick moisturizer while skin is still slightly damp to lock in hydration. Your feet will thank you tomorrow.
