How to Make Green Tea Toner at Home
Steep green tea in hot water for 10 minutes, let it cool completely, then transfer to a clean bottle and store in the fridge for up to one week.
- Brew strong green tea. Use 2-3 green tea bags or 2 tablespoons loose leaf tea in 1 cup of hot water. Steep for 10 minutes minimum to extract maximum antioxidants. The longer steep time creates a more concentrated base.
- Cool and strain. Remove tea bags or strain loose leaves completely. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cold application feels better and helps tighten pores temporarily.
- Transfer and store. Pour into a clean glass bottle or spray bottle. Store in the refrigerator and use within one week. The cold temperature preserves the antioxidants and prevents bacterial growth.
- Apply properly. Use a cotton pad to gently sweep across clean skin or mist directly onto face. Follow with your usual moisturizer while skin is still slightly damp to lock in hydration.
