How to Make DIY Oatmeal Cleanser for Sensitive Skin
Grind plain oats into flour, mix with water to form a paste, and gently massage onto damp skin for a soothing, non-stripping cleanse.
- Grind the oats. Use a clean coffee grinder or food processor to turn plain rolled oats into fine flour. Stop before it becomes paste — you want powder, not butter.
- Make your paste. Mix 2 tablespoons oat flour with enough lukewarm water to form a spreadable paste. Start with a teaspoon of water and add gradually until it holds together.
- Apply gently. Massage the paste onto damp skin using light circular motions for 30 seconds. The texture should feel soft, not scratchy — add more water if needed.
- Rinse thoroughly. Remove with lukewarm water, using gentle downward strokes. Pat dry with a clean towel and follow with your usual moisturizer immediately.
