How to Care for Your Nose Area and Pores
Keep nose pores clear with gentle daily cleansing, weekly exfoliation, and consistent moisturizing—never squeeze or over-strip the skin.
- Double cleanse daily. Use an oil cleanser first to dissolve sebum and makeup, then follow with a gentle water-based cleanser. The nose produces more oil than other face areas, so thorough cleansing prevents buildup without over-drying.
- Exfoliate twice weekly. Apply a BHA (salicylic acid) or gentle physical exfoliant to the nose area only. This removes dead skin cells that can clog pores and makes the area appear smoother.
- Apply targeted treatments. Use a lightweight, non-comedogenic serum or treatment on the nose after cleansing. Look for niacinamide to control oil production or retinol to keep pores clear and refined.
- Moisturize consistently. Even oily nose areas need hydration to prevent overproduction of sebum. Use a light, gel-based moisturizer that won't clog pores but keeps skin balanced.
- Use pore strips sparingly. Limit pore strips to once every two weeks maximum. They can provide temporary satisfaction but overuse can irritate skin and enlarge pores over time.
