How to Care for the Skin Around Your Ears
Cleanse gently, moisturize consistently, and protect from sun exposure since ear skin is thin and easily overlooked.
- Cleanse without neglecting. Use your regular gentle cleanser around the ear area during your daily routine. The skin behind and around ears collects oil, dead skin, and product residue but is often skipped entirely.
- Moisturize the forgotten zones. Apply your regular face moisturizer to the ear area, including behind the ears and along the ear canal opening. This skin is thinner than most of your face and dehydrates faster.
- Apply targeted sun protection. Use SPF on the tops and backs of ears, especially if you have short hair or wear your hair up frequently. Ears are among the most common spots for sun damage because they're consistently exposed and routinely forgotten.
