How to Care for Your T-Zone Without Drying Your Cheeks
Use targeted products on different face zones and apply oil-control treatments only where you need them.
- Map your zones. Touch your face after cleansing to feel where oil builds up versus where skin feels tight. Your T-zone typically runs from forehead to nose to chin, but everyone's oily areas are different.
- Cleanse strategically. Use a gentle cleanser all over, then apply a small amount of salicylic acid cleanser only to oily areas with fingertips. Rinse thoroughly to prevent product from sitting on dry areas.
- Apply treatments separately. Put oil-control serums or treatments only on your T-zone using precise application. Use a hydrating serum on your cheeks while the T-zone treatment absorbs.
- Moisturize by zone. Apply a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to your T-zone and a richer formula to your cheeks. Let each absorb before applying SPF all over.
